The Topic
Study after study has proven that employee empowerment leads to employee accountability, increased productivity, and better customer service.
Although many people would like to empower their employees, they often don't know how to do it effectively and the results can be disastrous for managers, employees, the organization, and customers. To truly empower employees in an effective and long-lasting way, we have to empower employees to empower themselves!
This session will help you to:
- Understand what empowerment really means
- Identify common mistakes in employee empowerment
- Identify key steps for building an empowered workforce
- Understand the importance of rewarding success and initiative
- Evaluate failure and learn how to turn it into opportunity

About the Speaker
Amy P. Castro - President of Triad Communication, LLC
Amy is a recognized Performance Communication™ expert, NSA-certified speaker, author, and blogger. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism and a Master’s Degree in Communication Studies/Human Communication Theory. She is also a Certified Speaking Professional, a designation of the National Speakers Association that is earned by fewer than 1.5% of all identified speakers worldwide.
Amy is a proud U.S. Air Force veteran, having served as a captain in the public affairs career field. After leaving the Air Force, she founded her company, The Performance Communication Group, which celebrated its 20-year anniversary in 2014. Over the last two decades, Amy has taught public speaking and business/professional speaking at a college level, written numerous books, and has continued to share her expertise as a professional speaker, trainer, coach, and consultant.
