Join Texas Bay Area SHRM for a complimentary webinar session with Texas labor attorney David Barron on Wednesday, November 17th from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.


This presentation will provide the latest update on various federal COVID-19 vaccine mandates, including the OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard and the mandate for federal contractors. The program will also cover related topics such as handling requests for medical and religious exceptions as a form of reasonable accommodation, and legal issues related to testing in lieu of vaccination.

Objectives:

  • Identify employer coverage and obligations under applicable federal COVID-19 vaccine mandates; 
  • Understand legal obligations and practical steps for handling requests for reasonable accommodation based on medical or religious grounds; 
  • Identify other legal risks and practical issues associated with mandatory vaccination policies, including wage and hour risks associated with testing requirements

Guest Speaker: David Barron 

David is a Member at Cozen O’Connor and is Board Certified in Labor and Employment Law by the state of Texas. David is the Chair of his firm’s Coronavirus Taskforce. Because of David's common sense approach to labor and employment issues, he is often quoted in newspapers and magazines.
