Speaker Information:
Trisha Barita is a 16 year licensed practicing attorney in the area of Labor and Employment Law on the management side and is the managing attorney of the Barita Law Firm with locations in downtown Houston and League City.
She works with her Employer Clients to be their legal solutions partner by forming a long term relationship on matters in both consultation of policy development, handbook creation, audits of current employment practices from discipline through terminations, defense of workplace employee claims with government agencies as well as any litigation strategy.
Ms. Barita is also the podcast host of Legal Skinny, an educational resource for the Employer and HR Professional which can be found at the website legalskinny.com, and on the platforms apple podcasts, Spotify and iHeartRadio. In 2020, Ms. Barita and her legal skinny podcast were featured in Texas Lawyer, Business.com, Business News Daily and Authority Magazine. During the COVID-19 Pandemic, one of the most popular episodes were “Where did all the TP go?” and more recently the two part episodes, “Should Employers Mandate Vaccines” and the “President’s Wish List.”
When she is not working with employers and HR professionals, she enjoys participating in BBQ or Gumbo contests around Texas with her husband and spending time baking with her twin daughters.
