When motivated to take action or solve problems, every human being operates with instinctive abilities. These abilities are predictable by assessing their conation. When conation is understood and used in the workplace, candidates selected for jobs are more likely to excel, team performance improves because employees understand how to work together more effectively, and overall engagement is dramatically increased.

This session will:

  • Explain the concept of conation.
  • Discuss how conative stress can impact an employee or team.
  • List reasons why a leader should be concerned about conative stress.
  • Identify how an individual's conative abilities are assessed.
  • Demonstrate how conative language can be used in job postings and interview questions to attract and select the best candidate for a position.
