A message from our President, Lisset Escobar:

Dear Chapter Members,

I want to thank you all for the opportunity to serve as President of Texas Bay Area Society of Human Resources Management. I joined Texas Bay Area SHRM nearly 2 years ago. Less than a year later, I joined the board as the College Relations Chair through the encouragement of others on the board.  At my very first chapter meeting I felt welcomed and part of something great!   My vision as Chapter President is to create a community and environment where every chapter member and guest feels as welcome as I did at my very first chapter meeting  That is something I will strive to make happen, but it’s also something that I need your help in fully achieving.  I ask that you engage at every meeting, talk to the people at your table, exchange business cards, and use each other as a resource. I have forged some of the most invaluable relationships during my time with Texas Bay Area SHRM, and my hope is that you will too.

The mission of Texas Bay Area SHRM is to provide a personalized experience for Human Resources professionals and serve our members by providing a collaborative environment, where our members can leverage shared knowledge, while also providing developmental opportunities and resources to advance the profession.

The vision Texas Bay Area SHRM is to empower and serve all Human Resources professionals and those alike in the Brazoria, Galveston, and Harris County communities. By joining together in a collaborative environment, we will advance the Human Resources profession through networking and professional development opportunities, serving as the premier community resource for sharing industry knowledge and best practices.

As always, please feel free to reach out to any member of the board with questions, comments, concerns, suggestions or just to introduce yourself! We want to get to know you. Our goal as a chapter is to better serve you, our members. Each board member is listed on our website. We have an incredible group of people. They are responsible for making this mission and vision a reality. I am excited and honored to serve as your President. Together we will achieve something great!
